Pakistani Brother Kills His Two Sisters In Honor Killings Because He Doubted Their Lifestyle

Mohammed Asif was alleged to have shot his two sisters while they slept in their beds just few days ago. The tragic  incident was said to have occurred at Noor Shah Village located at Punjab Pakistan. Fauzia and Surayya both in their early twenties were killed by their brother because he questioned their way of life. After he committed the crime, he escaped to a nearby village.

56 year old Muhammad Asharaf, father to the deceased sisters , who currently works as a cab driver in the UAE, returned home after her heard the shocking news.

As disclosed by a local police officer Mohammed Baqar Razar, Asif was also found guilty is murdering his mother in 2011, whom he believed was having an affair with a criminal. He was later released after relatives forgave his crime.

Officer Raza further said:
"Had he been brought to justice, this should not have happened again," said Wali Khan, a Noor Shah village resident. "This time he must be punished duly to save another tragic incident from happening."
Rights of women in Islamic nations is still a growing challenge and the issue of honor killings have grown sporadically in Pakistan to a statistical estimate of 1,000 a year. This figure is believed to be much more higher due to poor documentation

According to a Legal expert who is also a human rights activist,  Akbar Hoti:
"Many of the crimes carried out by relatives are never prosecuted,"
