In South Africa unlike Nigeria and some African countries, Gays or Infact the LGBT community are free to express themselves however they wish, without being embarrassed or attacked verbally or violently. Popular Gay TV personality Somizi Mhlongo decided to try something really different and off the usual to spice up his style by rocking braids and not just the usual everyday braids, blonde flashy braids.
Mhlongo is well known for his colorful and flashy appearance on TV shows like South African Idol where he is a judge. He is also a renowned actor, choreographer, singer. Define him as an all round entertainer.
