Eight times boxing champion Manny Pacquiao has retracted his statement and apologized for comparing Gays to animals. He made this controversial comments during an interview ,which was televised live , while campaigning for a seat in the Senate saying; gay couples are worse than animals.
Pacquiao who sees himself as a very conservative candidate in a Catholic majority Philippines said:
"It's common sense. Do you see animals mating with thesame sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female" This is an excerpt from his quote on TV5 by the Associated press.His comments where said to be condemned especially among the LGBT community. Same sex marriage is frowned upon in the Philippines and such a union has been classified illegal.
