Professor Le Dinh Luong who is the President of the Genetic Association Of Vietnam verified the case about twins born of one mother and two separate fathers. This medical mystery was confirmed as a very rare medical case , by tests which were carried out in a lab located at Hanoi. Only 7 of such cases have been reported worldwide and this is the first ever recorded occurrence in Vietnam.
The Identities of the parties involved were cocealed from the press. A local Online newspaper Dan Tri , revealed that a 34 year old man requested for DNA testing of his 2 year old twins which had no form of resemblance ,, despite being born on thesame day. Their physical features were absolutely distinct from each other. One of them has thin hair features while the others hair is wave like.
Luong was able to decipher this genetic mystery with a more concrete medical explanation, stating that this could only occur within a seven day period during their mother's ovulation when two separate sperm is fertilized by two different eggs, within the 7 day time window.
